Ophelias Skies

We might wonder
what wonders and tribulations, might lay in store
upon this canvas
of one Autumnal day.. that called
We might all share
our views
of Ophelia's passing sweep
From the
warming seas
of Mother Earth
Perhaps, this industrial time, will see hurricane winds endlessly weep
The sky lays overcast
bellowing yellow golden light
rooms now full of endless dusk, early shadows
lit by tinted yellow, such gilded sights
Lights fall quietly, through sepia windows
the coming early night
as people pause to wonder
this ominous, calling, evening sight
Outside swirls -
a sky of Saharan airborne dust
and ashen clouds from Iberian forest fires
the sun burns red, in silent hidden clasp
As if, a poet then said, a painter had painted this mysterious day
this sky, this glowing light, might have meaning, a few did whisper, as they did say..
a grey, yellow, golden day
